What’s your astrological sign? Are you a Libra or a Leo?

Do you read your horoscope daily and make life decisions based on that advice?

Astrology teaches that the time cycle in which you were born determines your personality, and to some extent the course of your life. But this might leave you with a sense of being powerless, at the mercy of impersonal forces beyond your control.

Isn’t there something better to help you navigate your way through life?

I believe there is.

How would you like a horoscope that is valid for every day of the year, no matter when you were born?

One that contained truths you could always rely on, was written by Someone who knows you and loves you, and is not determined by inanimate objects like stars or an impersonal and arbitrary time cycle?

Christians have such a “horoscope,” and it’s called the Word of God. The Bible contains truths about believers that are rock-solid and unchanging, that give us hope no matter what our personality or what we’re going through.

As Christians, we don’t believe we’re guided by the stars. Rather, we believe we’re guided by the One who made the stars. God not only created the stars and planets, He created time itself. Scripture says He knows the end from the beginning. He stands outside of time and can see the whole sweep of history from start to finish, including your life.

Only God can know what the future holds for you, not any astrological system.

Therefore, may I present the only “horoscope” you need if you’re a believer, good for every day of the year, every year of your life:

“If you’re a Christian, your sign is the Cross. No matter what year or month you were originally born in, when you were born again it was under the sign of Calvary. This means you’re forgiven by God, are reconciled to Him and will spend eternity with Him.

“Today, and every day, you will be tenderly loved by God. You are His child. You have peace with God. He hears your prayers and will help you.

“You will have difficulties in this world, but be of good cheer, because your Saviour has overcome the world. You will be able to do all things through Christ, who gives you the strength. You can be assured that God will work all things together for your good.

“You are God’s workmanship. He has a plan for your life. You can be confident that the good work that God has begun in you will be perfected.

“You are the salt of the earth. You are the light of the world. You are a saint.

“You can never be separated from the love of God!”

Doesn’t this “horoscope,” based on Scriptural truths, give you more hope than any other?

Read it every day, believe it, and see if your life doesn’t change for the better!
